Highly recommended! Did an excellent job taking our wedding photos as well as our engagement photos! Jamie is very empathetic, honest, and reasonably priced! Also has great ideas for those who are indecisive on ideas for photos.

I met with multiple photographers, and right away when I met with Myji & Ryan I knew I wanted them! First of all, they met me at 8PM because that is time I got off work, so the fact they met me so late was very beneficial. They were willing to work with me on modifying my package so I wasn’t paying for things I did not necessarily want or need, and made sure everything I did want got in there. We did our engagement pictures with them, and they allowed us to split it into 2 sessions. 1 in the winter and 1 in the summer, which made for awesome pictures to have that variety. It also gave us a chance to get to know them more before the big day, so that on the day of the wedding we were very comfortable with them. I would email and text Ryan quite often with my questions, and he would always respond quickly. The wedding day Myji & Ryan once again proved how great they were. During my ceremony, I said to someone “I did not even see my photographers during my ceremony, did they miss all of the shots I wanted?!” Someone responded to me “no I saw the guy doing an army crawl on the ground just to get a good shot!” I also gave them a lengthy very specific list of the family photos I wanted, and they were so great about making sure we got every single one of them in a timely (but not feeling rushed) manner. I had a photo booth with them as well, and I heard so many good things from my guests. Everyone absolutely loved it! They are both such great photographers, and I would highly recommend Myji & Ryan to anyone!

Shaun was our wedding photographer 7 years ago and we love the pictures, they decorate a lot of our house. He was very professional and fun at the same time. He captured our personalities especially while interacting with our guests. We now have Shaun take out son's photos and he does an awesome job chasing the guy around. We are always happy with his results!

My husband and I were very please with Aly Jean Photography! She was very thorough in the types of photos we wanted and we very receptive to our ideas of how we wanted photos. On the day of the wedding, she was able to make the picture taking go by smoothly and efficiently so that the pictures turned out well and didn't take up too much time. She was great!

Sam was our wedding photographer (8.1.15) and I can honestly say we have no complaints. I can't even begin to list how many comments we received on how beautifully our wedding photos turned out. Our wedding was on a pretty low budget, and Sam gave us high-end photographs for a low-end price tag. The day of, he was completely open to any and all requests we had, as well as giving his creative input where our ideas lacked. He added to the fun, whimsical spirit of the day with his humerus attitude, and I would (and have) reccomend him to anyone that is planning on tying the knot soon.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does it cost for a photographer for a wedding?

Finding the right wedding photographer can make a big difference for your ceremony. Nationally, the average wedding photographer’s price ranges from $800 to $1,000, but costs can be much higher in areas like Chicago, New York or Los Angeles where some couples spend $2,000 to $5,000 or more for the photographer they want. Factors that can affect your wedding photographer prices include the photographer’s reputation and experience. Heavy hitters can command top rates, especially during wedding-season weekends. Day of the week also affects your cost. You may get a $200 discount on wedding photographer prices if you get married on a Friday in November rather than a Saturday in June. Time onsite is also an important cost factor. Hiring a photographer to snap photos from the moment you wake up until after last call at the reception is going to cost more than five hours of pictures during the day. Multiple photographers, special lighting, and videography will also increase your costs. Ultimately you want to find someone who has a style you love and can provide the number of edited shots you want for a price you can handle. Learn more about hiring a wedding photographer.
