Worked with Kohner for drywall/taping our basement. Team worked fast and incredibly happy with the final results -- clean lines, smooth ceiling, just really well done for a competitive price. Front office was responsive to our questions/requests. One small thing, and wouldn't rate them lower for it, but they run their quotes via texting rather than visiting the site before starting work...if you measure square footage yourself, don't be surprised if they'll need more sheets (and $) to complete project. But even there, they were more than willing to work with us. Would recommend to anyone.

Kohner Construction made our dreams come true. We wanted to put a bathroom in the basement of our 1958 Orin Thompson home. We had 3 other bids but Tim was the one who cared about our idea and helped us stay within our budget. Tim and Char took care of all the building aspects but I especially liked that we purchased and paid for all the supplies: fixtures, shower, toilet, vanity, door, flooring, etc. That gave us more control over spending plus I got to pick out exactly what I wanted. It took longer than expected with permits, inspections, & scheduling but it was well worth the wait! We love our new bathroom and are very pleased with the quality and professionalism of all the contractors Tim hired to do the work. We would recommend Tim and Char of Kohner Construction to our friends and family.

This is the second time I have used Kohners to complete a remodel project. The first time, a bathroom and the second, a basement. An old house, with some surprises, but Tim and his crew solved all issues and finished with beautiful results. I have nothing but good things to say about Tim and Char. I have referred them to family and friends. Something I don't do unless I am confident that my experience will be theirs as well. Thank You for making my visions a reality!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are very competitive with our pricing and will bid jobs based on the amount of labor, materials and how long it will take. We will not increase our pricing based on the area you live in as many will do.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first step is to schedule a free on site estimate of your project. You may be given a price range at the first meeting. An Estimate will follow within 3-5 days for your review.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
MN Building Contractors License, Real Estate Brokers License, yearly and ongoing courses.
