Electrical and Wiring Repair
Had to have my electrical panel replaced. Called around for some pricing. Most of the "bigger" name places wouldn't even give me a ball park figure and wanted me to pay them to give me a quote (essentially). Decided to use thumbtack (though I was a bit wary, having never heard of the website.) Jim got in touch with me right away. Had me send him some pictures and spoke with him on the phone. His quote was nearly 50 percent lower then what the other companies had quoted me. Jim was super professional and friendly. He was on time, clean, and very communicative. I would highly recommend him (as would others, see his other great reviews...)
Dec 7, 2016VerifiedTotal Electric's replyThank you for the kind words. We replaced an older Square D split buss panel (it gives the impression that it is a 50 amp panel) with a new Siemens 100 amp panel to facilitate selling of the home.

I highly recommend Jim Levoir and his company, TOTAL ELECTRIC. He went the extra mile. What a difference it makes to have a professional doing the work! He was honest, factual in explaining the problem, plus he worked hard and got it completed within the time frame and cost he had in the quote. He did a great job,
Apr 13, 2014VerifiedTotal Electric's replyI was able to help by installing a new electric dryer outlet (240 volt, 30 amp). When testing the dryer I found the vent pipe to be clogged up and reported same to the homeowner so it could be cleaned out (electric dryers are very expensive to run when the air flow is impeded by lint).

Jim was great! Fast and professional and he made sure that we reviewed the work before leaving. I will definitely call him for future work needs.
Feb 27, 2018VerifiedTotal Electric's replyWe replaced an FPE circuit breaker panel for this homeowner. FPE had lost its UL rating about 30 years ago due to some of there breakers failing to open during an overload or short circuit event.

He was on time, clean and professional looking. He installed the new subpanel and cleaned up his work space afterwords. He also answered some questions to a foundation guy that happened to be at the house as well, this was nice.
Dec 8, 2015VerifiedTotal Electric's replyWe installed a sub-panel to to provide additional circuit breaker space for a future room remodel. This method was more cost effective than replacing the main panel in this case.

Jim came out and replaced our old FPE circuit panel and was absolutely fantastic! Jim was a total professional and a very nice guy. Jim made the whole project easy and affordable for us. He is our main electrician from now on. I highly recommend!
Sep 24, 2015VerifiedTotal Electric's replyThe FPE panel was replaced at this home because the home insurance company will not insure any homes with this type of panel (FPE lost it's UL rating several decades ago as many of there breakers failed to trip during an overload or a short circuit event). Most if not all insurance companies are taking the same position.
