FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
There are two basic options; pay for the high-resolution files so you can make prints yourself, or choose to leave it out of your package and order prints from me directly. Everything is priced accordingly on my website under pricing.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My dad was a photographer in New York, so I always had cameras around the house when I was a kid. When I was a senior in high school I took a black and white dark room photography class, and have pretty much been hooked ever since. When I graduated I continued to learn through textbooks and online sources. The idea to take it to the professional level sort of happened naturally, as I was already spending most of my time developing my technique in the field. It's an ongoing learning process, which I love because it keeps me active. I know that I will be learning and perfecting my craft for the rest of my life, and my work will eventually become my legacy to leave behind for the world to see.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't worry so much about how you think everyone else wants your images to look. A lot of people tend to shy away from getting portraits and event coverage that are outside of the norm. Anyone can just go to Sears and get a cheesy portrait done. But if you wanted that then you would have already done it by now and wouldn't be looking on this website for something better! You already know what kind of imagery you love, even if you can't find the right words to describe it, because you see it all the time. Imagery is all around us, literally everywhere we go and we have become experts at viewing and liking it. Be your own expert when it comes to choosing your style of photographs.
