The cleaners were friendly, respectful and professional. I appreciate them asking questions on the first cleaning to ensure they had it correct. The put me at ease of having professional cleaners in my house from how respectful and professional they were. The owner, Erica, was responsive and clear about expectations especially around the price. Thank you.

I contracted with WD Home Repairs for: - demo of an existing bathroom consisting of carpet, toilet, cabinetry, sinks, and 1-piece fiberglass shower unit - floor tile installation - shower tile installation (walls and floor) Throughout the process, Donald was responsible, approachable, and reasonable. The quote for the project beat top-rated bathroom remodeling firms (Angie's List) by a significant margin. WD Home Repairs maintained an eye for detail while completing the project. As with any project of this scale, a couple of unforeseen issues came up. I was impressed with the speed and positive attitude in which WD Home Repairs resolved these issues. I am pleased with the finished project. The overall experience was largely worry-free. I would not hesitate to contract with WD Home Repairs again for future tiling projects.

Barry was a joy to work with. He knows his craft well and very reasonable rates. He did a remodel of our bathroom from start to finish and it turned out beautifully ( installed new cabinets, tiled floor, installed toilet, faucets, plumbing and drywall). He is not only a good at his job but he is a nice guy. I have recommended him to family and friends and would hire him in the future.

Denis was punctual, his work was excellent, neat, tidy, and thorough. He dried my floors per my request. The job was completed in the anticipated time frame. An excellent example of how professional tile and grout cleaning should be done!

Looked and smelled great. Only "misses" - deep corners of kitchen floor and an area of baseboards (also in kitchen). I would use them again, making sure to give specific request to scrub those areas mentioned. Cabinets & appliances were beautiful. Bathrooms very good, too.

I had White Glove come out for another long list of cleaning. This time it was a deep clean and seal of the tile in a shower, the entry tile floor, dryer vents cleaned out, and cleaning the carpet on the stairs which were full of stains. I highly recommend White Glove Cleaning, as they do an excellent job each time I utilize their services.

Greg was a pleasure to work with. He is honest, thorough, clear, and goes above and beyond. The services were competitively priced. We got wood floor polishing and carpet cleaning done and couldn't have been happier with the results. He even showed us a spot where there was some suspect dirty water coming back through the steam cleaner, and explained to us what may have happened to the carpet to make that happen so we could knowledgeably chat with the previous owners of our new home and figure out the issue. He was polite on the phone and in person, very clear about his prices and exactly what his services would and would not include. We will absolutely be reaching out to him again when we need anything else done around our house. Wonderful, WONDERFUL service.

We own a 2200 square foot restaurant and we were having the floors stripped/waxed and tile areas scrubbed. Communication was very good throughout the process. The team arrived on time and was very friendly and helpful. They worked overnight as planned and when I returned at 6 am the next morning everything looked spectacular. What a change! The floors are spotless and the whole place looks brighter. The team was very helpful in putting tables and fixtures back in place, something we did not expect, and they were very pleasant and professional throughout the job. There is not a thing we could point out that they could have done better. We would heartily recommend Harty Building Services for floor cleaning, strip/wax.

A bathroom remodel that included gutting everything except the vanity. Jim and those he works with were in constant contact and kept on track as promised with timing of the project. Jim will help you coordinate all materials with the best merchants to ensure the best price. He has relationships with all of them which ensures best prices possible for countertops, cabinets, tile (including design) as well as labor. We had no idea how to approach a bathrom remodel and knew we didn't want to act as our own general contractor. Hiring Jim to oversee it, helped us get the remodel done quickly, with good quality materials at a lower price than we would probably have been able to realize on our own. The tile installer was incrediblly meticulous. It looks perfect throughout the room from the shower to the bathroom floor and other walls. They took extreme care to keep the area clean and always cleaned up at the end of the day. We won't hesitate to work with Jim and Cady Handyman in the future for other remodeling. We highly recommend Jim.

I have hired Rick for many "handyman" jobs over the years and I have always been impressed with his quality of work, timeliness and ability to tackle any job even in an old house full of unforeseen surprises. Rick has replumbed my house and fixed general plumbing issues, hung screen and steel doors, wired lights and ceiling fans, done sheet rocking, layed tile flooring, installed appliances, bathroom sinks and faucets. He has redone my steps to the upstairs by refinishing the wood, running a carpet runner and adding decorative railings. He really can do most everything you ask him to do. He is reasonably priced. I would definiteyl recommend him.

Excellent communication, professionalism and quality of work. The cleaning professional toured the house with me and noted those issues I wanted to prioritize, like the hardwood floors. She suggested a vinegar and water solution which worked wonders. she also did an amazing job of getting at all the cat hair dust bunnies. the house looked amazing when she was done. Equally impressive was the coordinator of the services that I worked with, very responsive emails and the communication was great. I ended up booking monthly services with Brilliantly Bright because they are exactly what I need for once a month whole house cleaning.

Cindy is great! She shows up on time and our place looks great when she is done cleaning. I am super concerned about the cleanliness of our wood floors and the bathrooms and the clean has met my expectations! The house smells fresh when we come home. She sends a text to ensure we know for sure when she will arrive on the day she cleans. She is quick and thorough. Our pets love her as well. We are truly happy with our choice to hire TC Cleaners.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How can I get my grout clean?

Dirt, mildew and grime can make your grout lines look downright tragic. If you have the ability, DIY tile and grout cleaning is definitely doable. Your main obstacles are time, project size, availability of the right materials and effort. Your first step in tile and grout cleaning is making sure the surface area is cleaned of basic dirt and buildup and wiped down. Be sure not to use a bleach-based cleaning agent, which could react dangerously with the vinegar used in later steps.

Depending on the delicacy of your tile and grout, it may be wise to start with water and friction before proceeding to a cleaning solution. In the shower you can spray the area while brushing gently, or use a spray bottle filled with warm water on countertops or floors. If water won’t do the trick, try a solution of equal parts warm water and white vinegar, and repeat the gentle brushing motion. This combination should begin to lift dirt and grime from the grout. For additional tile and grout cleaning power, baking soda applied directly to grout lines and sprayed with your water vinegar solution can help suds off sticky grime. If your DIY cleaning solutions aren’t doing the trick, store-bought sprays and pastes may have more cleansing power. Rinse thoroughly after cleaning and enjoy your sparkling clean grout.

Tile and grout cleaning supplies include:

    • Old standard or electric toothbrush
    • Stiff bristle brush
    • Spray bottle
    • White vinegar
    • Commercial grout cleaner

How much does it cost to clean tile and grout?

The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Pros may charge a flat fee or by the square foot. Rates can vary depending on the type of tile and grout you have (more delicate tiles may mean specialized products or careful handwashing), how dirty your tile and grout are, and what part of the country you are in (regional labor rates and costs to do business affect costs). For example, one floor cleaning company charges 75 cents per square foot for tile and grout cleaning for projects that permit cleaning by machine. Another company may charge $30-$50 per hour for hand-cleaning of tiles. Companies often charge a minimum fee for services to ensure their business expenses are met when they accept a job, no matter how small. In addition, a tile and flooring cleaning professional may charge added fees, such as $25 or more, to move heavy furniture or appliances.

How do professionals clean tile and grout?

If you need tile and grout cleaning and don’t have the time or mobility for scrubbing your entire house on your hands and knees, it’s time to turn to the pros. Tile and grout cleaning professionals have industrial-grade machines designed for the sole task of cleaning the porous materials of grout and tile. Typically, a cleaning pro will come out to assess the job and provide you with a quote. Often they charge per square foot (for example, 75 cents per square foot), with higher prices or an hourly rate for areas that will need hand cleaning. The national average cost for tile and grout cleaning ranges from $190 to $250. Once onsite, the pros thoroughly clean the area by wiping or sweeping down and then vacuuming up any dry dirt. Next a chemical tile cleaner is sprayed over the surface, causing dirt to loosen and adhere to the spray; the industry term for this is “suspension.” The pros then clean the floor with professional-strength machines, which often use a combination of steam, brushes and vacuum to loosen, agitate and lift entrenched dirt. Your floor is then rinsed, removing all the spray. Usually a small room can be cleaned in under an hour. Applying a sealant afterward is recommend and will also affect cost.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
