Introduction: I offer both traditional henna and mehndi designs. I specialize in designs inspired by Pakistani, Indian, and Arabic styles for weddings, private parties, and festivals, but offer Sudanese, and North African style designs as well. What I love the most about doing henna is meeting new people and creating unique designs that represent the individual.

Mango Mehndi's reply
Hi Priya, I’m so sorry to hear that. That is very unusual. Had I known sooner we could have discussed some possible resolutions. Typically that result is from the paste not having enough time on the skin.

Zahara was extremely friendly and helpful. Having spent almost 3 hours with her on my bridal henna I am so thankful to have had a person as enjoyable as here. The work was fantastic. She prides herself on the detail. She also did henna on my aunts cousins and friends. In 2 hours she was able to henna 25 people. Everyone just loved her. They had so much fun talking to her and about the upcoming wedding. Zahara clearly loves what she does and wants her clients to enjoy their experience.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

For individuals it is based on the size of the design starting at $5 (if a customer comes to me) and going up from there based on the level of intricacy, size, and placement of the design. Designs with a lot of detail, that are very large, or on a difficult to reach area of the body are going to take longer to work on and therefore are more expensive. Parties: $85/hour - As much henna as you want for as many people as fits in that time frame (5 - 20 people in 1 hour depending on design size).

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Brides: In person consultation including what the bride is looking for in her mehndi, style, intricacy, size, and area. We would also discuss unique additions to the design such as a symbol that has meaning or is traditional for that family, or the groom's initials/name. Individuals/party booking: Phone or e-mail consultation discussing the size of the henna designs for the individual and/or their party guests, the number of guests and the length of time.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I initially learned to do henna overseas and attend professional development and training for henna artists in the U.S. annually to keep my skills fresh and continue growing.
