Company should clarify that a move out clean quote is not guaranteed everything will be cleaned but it is based on how much time a cleaner can clean for the price quoted.
I was quoted $98 to do a move out clean for a 600 sq ft alcove apt. I left some items behind because I was going to go back to do some minor touch up with the holes in the wall, so I left items there such as a fresh bag of toilet paper and my phone charger. When I went back to check the work, they left a mess on the floors. They wiped things down and cleaned the surface tops but swiped all crumbs on the floor and left the floors unswept and un-mopped. Did not clean the toilet bowl, or shower floor. They cleaned the fridge, shower glass and tiles, kitchen counter top, stove top. They did not even wipe down the inside of the microwave, nor did they vacuum the bedroom floor either. And they took my bag of toilet paper and phone charger and tried to blame the fact that I had my apt unlocked, which is an excuse because I left my apt unlocked plenty of times even while living there, not once have I had anything taken. They tried to claim I had many items left there and that's what took them time to move and throw away, which I never told them to throw anything away, I only asked they clean around the items. They also claimed the cleaner couldn't find parking so that cut in their cleaning time, which I told them it was ok to park across the street regardless of the no parking signs because there's a lot of construction going on, it was ok to park but they didn't want to park there. Just sad that an employer will not make a record of theft and instead let their workers get away with stealing from homes they are to do a job at. I would not recommend them. They also kept postponing and rescheduled due to cleaner's family emergency. I was quoted a flat rate price for a move out clean that was to include a clean place for moving out. I did not get that. I cleaned the rest of the place myself, which I expected because good help is hard to find these days! I don't even care about the toilet paper and charger, it's the principle and this company has poor business practice.
