FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Interior design services are provided for a fixed fee based on the project scope of work, schedule and budget. I do not earn a profit on the materials that are specified. It is important that we determine how much or little scope of work you need help with. The schedule could be one month or many; with a logical sequence of events planned into the timeline. The budget for products and services helps define what is needed to accomplish the project goals.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The best way to start is with conversation and sharing information. Nothing takes the place of listening so your needs and goals can be accomplished.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My design skills are developed through qualifications, experience and continuing education, so I am prepared to bring both the creative and technical parts of interior design to clients. I have a BS in Interior Design from the University of Minnesota. I maintain certifications with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID), the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ), and the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers (AAHID).
