We have several large gardens that needed much TLC. Kim and her team came in and worked very hard to get all the gardens ready for spring blooms. We highly recommend their services.

Outdoor Landscaping and Design

We needed help in clearing out plant beds and moving existing plantings - and we're clueless when it comes to gardening. Of the four companies we connected with, three through Thumbtack, one that had done extensive (and expensive) work for us last year, Kim easily won the job. Kim worked with our timing and acknowledged our budget. Her rates are quite fair, her passion for the business, her communication, follow-through and her crew are exceptional, and a pleasure. We hope to make this the start of a on-going service relationship.

Kim has been working with us in our gardens for 2 seasons now. The gardens are beautiful! She comes every other week for a few hours. She manages spring clean up, maintenance and planting and fall cut downs. She is delightful to work with and a great value. I have recommended Kim and her company to other avid gardeners who struggle with having enough time to maintain the spaces they love! Kim keeps our favorite summer outdoor living space serene.

Native Eye has assisted me in refreshing my over grown gardens, routine maintenance, and creative design in difficult areas like extreme shade, hillsides and trellis's. Kim is very collaborative and easy to work with. I have truly enjoyed my experience with her. She is responsive and initiates ideas without pressure.

Kim was in tune to what I was looking for and took the time to walk around my gardens. (On a very cold and windy day.) I would definitely recommend her!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Clients are billed by the hour. Payment terms are 50% down with signed contract and 50% upon completion of the project. Straightforward and competitive.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Discuss the project in detail and walk the property so an accurate estimate can be prepare. Make suggestion based on site requirements, soil type, lighting, budget and timing.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have an A.A.S. degree from Hennepin Technical College in Landscape Design and Operations and a B.A. in Business from the University of MN. I am a member of the Minnesota Landscape Association, Wild Ones, two networking groups for design and professional gardening, volunteer at the Arboretum, the Green Expo and Home & Garden Show. I attend workshops during the off-season at least twice a week to keep up on new trends, plant introductions, invasive species, organic products, etc. But most importantly are the years of experience we have as a team.
