About
My name is Simon Larson and I've been tuning and repairing pianos in the Metro area since 2010. In that time I've done over 4,000 tunings and have worked on a wide range of pianos, from the neglected and broken down to concert grands and everything in between. I'm a member of the Piano Technician's Guild and am equipped with tools for repairs, regulation, and voicing needs. I'm also a certified installer of piano climate control systems. My aim is to get pianos in the best shape they can be within the customer's budget, whether that's just a tuning, or repair and regulation as well.

Simon is a top-notch, consummately professional guy. He arrived as scheduled, fielded my many questions (I'm a musician, but not a pianist; the tuning was a Christmas gift for my wife), and really did a stellar job fine-tuning our piano. I appreciate that Simon verbally guaranteed his work, which made me feel more at ease. It's very apparent this craftsman is excellent at what he does, and the proof is pretty easy to hear: our upright now sounds concert-worthy. I see no point in ever looking for another piano tuner... As long as Simon's in the business, he has a customer in me.

Simon was a pleasure to work with. He arrived right on time and ready to get at it. I was curious about the process, and Simon was very patient in explaining the mechanisms and tuning process while I watched him work. He not only got the older piano tuned, but fixed a few issues with the key positions and action at the quoted price (including finding a clothing button resting underneath one of the keys). I will highly recommend him to anybody needing his services.

Simon arrived on time and gave me an explanation of what needed to be done to tune my piano. He also fixed what I thought could be a major problem. I would definitely recommend him for piano tuning and repair!

Simon was very responsive and easy to coordinate with. He took time to explain what his plan was for addressing the issues we had with our piano before he started. He realized he wanted to spend more time to fix it and worked with our schedule to return the same day to finish the tuning and repair work. He offered to come back in a month for a complimentary "check up" to ensure the fix he did on the piano maintained it in tune. Very conscientious and focused on making the tuning perfect. It has never sounded better. I'd highly recommend Simon.
