Awesome experience thus far! So glad I decided to take piano lessons as an adult. Very comfortable environment.Jun 2, 2019Verified
Had my first vocal/piano lesson with Andrew today. He is a fantastic teacher. I was certainly nervous at first but he was able to break though that barrier within seconds. He's very knowledgeable and articulate. Day 1 and I already see immense improvement. I couldnt ask for a better teacher. Definitely looking forward to my future lessons with him. Thank you Andrew!Nov 10, 2019Verified
Andrew Barrett is a wonderful and very understanding teacher who definitely knows his stuff. I've had three lessons so far and I'm already improving with his excellent instructions and will absolutely continue with his services. :)Apr 27, 2015Verified
After several years of choral singing, I was looking to improve my solo singing skills. After studying with Dr. Barrett for a short while, I found that singing became so much easier! I gained about an octave in my range and can easily sing alto or soprano. The art of singing became even more enjoyable to me. Years later, I still find myself making breakthroughs during lessons. Dr. Barrett is an excellent teacher who uses clear, concise instruction with visual images and metaphors to help you learn the techniques of singing. Whatever type of music you want to sing, his knowledge is endless. I highly recommend!Jan 20, 2015
I came to Dr. Barrett with a "lost/damaged" voice through a recommendation from a singer-friend. (I'd majored in voice at college). I began lessons barely able to sing above "mid range." It took about six months of lessons and diligent practice for my voice to recover. Gradually I gained back vocal range, better breath capacity and a tone quality which I found nearly unbelievable. Andrew is patient and knowledgable and in my humble opinion literally brought my voice back from the dead. I highly recommend him.Jan 20, 2015
