Last week at a bustling San Diego conference, Jason was tasked with a challenging yet critical project: filming footage of various leaders in education, with a goal of creating avatars. 18 people were crammed into ambitious 15-minute slots, pretty much back-to-back for six hours.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Due to every project being different I’m unable to give a price before doing a consultation, so let's hop on the phone for a quick call so I can better understand your needs and budget and tailor a package/quote for you.
I don’t charge by the hour because a 1-hour video shoot is never just an hour. There is important preparation work outside of the shoot that involves time, such as pre-production, post production, travel time, color grading, choosing the right music etc. This is all to better serve you and the video you are creating.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My first step is always to have a phone call.
I want to get to know who you are, what you're looking to create, and how I can best help you.
Each gig is completely unique and I approach each of them like cooking a brand new recipe--no 2 meals are the same.
By the end of the call I want you to feel like you've got a clear vision for what you'll be making and how we'll make it.
And by the end of the production, I want you to feel like you received 10 times the value you expected.
All of this starts with a one-on-one phone call.
My ultimate goal is to help you, and if I'm not the right person for the job, I will help you get there, even if you do not end up working with me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked in the advertising world as a director and art director for over 15 years which has been a huge part of my education.
I've seen from the best in the business how to convert creative ideas into money making ads.
My formal education was at Columbia College Chicago in their masters programs, but I left after one year as I received an internship and was then hired on as an in-house director at an ad agency.
My classroom has been professional commercial sets and I've received an excellent education.
