- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When my daughter was born, I started taking photographs of her. I found that I loved it so much, I started photographing more and more and studying all the time to get the best lighting and posing. People started asking me to photograph their weddings and families and I realized this is the line of work that I'm good at, and enjoy! I could make a difference helping people to capture their treasured loved ones.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
High school photography is my favorite. I love helping the students to feel their best and look their best. Have a variety of outfits help the student's personality to come out... in all forms!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for a trained professional photographer with a natural eye for beauty! Just because you've bought a nice camera, you won't naturally be a great portrait photographer. Too many new budding photographers are popping up without the experience or skills needed for quality portraits.
