- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors knew I had an incredible love for dogs and cats and started asking me if I would watch their pets while they were on vacation. I had a house at the time and I started taking them in. Eventually they started insisting I take money for taking such good care of their pets and a business was born. A business I loved. The training came from training my own dogs and seeing the difference it made.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Since I have been back in Minnesota, the most common jobs, for me, have been when people go out of town, I stay at their place, take care of animals, bring mail in, water plants, and play, feed, and exercise the dogs, or cats, or fish, etc.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Helping an eight-year-old lab with his separation anxiety. I had it under control in under two hours. That, I believe is possible because of my love for the animal.
