My focus for over 20 years has been to produce excellent, flexible designs/plans for residential projects - kitchens, baths, room additions, and whole house remodels. If you are an experienced DYI or have hired an experienced contractor, I may be able to help. Thorough in process - guarantee on work too. Please note, if your project requires engineering services, surveying, or soil tests, you will have to contract for these services separately with another party. I am an experienced designer but not a licensed architect which is why my prices are more competitive. I do not work on commercial properties, including Assisted Living conversions.

Deb had helped me redesign the main floor of my house 20 years ago. Back then I was impressed by her design awareness of functionality and the use of space. She is pragmatic, understands what the customer wants and can translate that into a design. She has a good eye for color too. So much, that I've reconsulted her on my bathroom remodel project.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing for 'design only' (not a contractor) is typically $1000 for a major kitchen remodel, $500 for a basic bath, $1500 for a room addition to produce ideas in order for you to obtain a bid from your contractor/suppliers, and another $1500 for final construction plans. 50% of the total fee is due upfront.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I discuss the scope over the internet or phone first, to ensure the project is a good fit for both, and then set up an appointment as soon as feasible. Plans typically take about a week (no walls moved) to 2 weeks for more complicated designs and changes.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am self-educated but my father was in the business.
