- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for dinner parties and the like is based on a service fee with an additional cost per person and does not include food costs.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started cheffing in DC as a side gig with an underground dinner party service called Feastly. I loved planning menus and hosting people in my home or in other locations through the city. When I moved to Philadelphia, I found myself drawn to cheffing again and began working in private homes for dinner parties, etc. That’s when I began doing the weekly meal service, at the request of a client, and word of mouth quickly spread. I became a mom in 2017, and moved to Minnesota with my husband. Im looking forward to meeting my new clients in the Twin Cities and getting back into the kitchen!
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I delight in every element of my work - from crafting a menu to a client’s taste, selecting ingredients at farmers markets or shops, and finally putting all of the fresh ingredients together, and leaving their home stocked with real homemade goodness. That’s my favorite part - knowing that people get to eat from scratch food where they can trust every ingredient.
