- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Always. I am constantly attending conferences, events, concerts, taking lessons, and getting input however I can in order to be a better performer and teacher and overall musician.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
People just kept asking me to teach. It started when I was fifteen and was asked to coach some kids. I just kept teaching and finally came to realize that this is my real calling.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do your research. There are a lot of "teachers" who have little qualifications and experience other than being able to sing well. Knowing how to teach singers to use their voices naturally and healthfully is a skill that is a long time in coming. My fees are extremely reasonable for the industry and for my experience, training, and ability. Choosing the wrong teacher can affect your love of making music and can potentially cause serious issues with technique or even physical issues.
