I want to start by saying I love my new deck! There's a few reasons it didn't get 5 stars and that's because there were a couple issues not addressed and in a timely manner. I worked directly with Jason. He seemed like a genuine guy and very friendly, open, and intentions to do great work. Overall they did do good work and I'm pleased with the results. Here is a list of my issues: 1. Railing top doesn't line up. This is a problem because of appearance (in my opinion) and also because I can't line up a gate to keep dogs on/off deck. Would have been nice to at least have an option in the matter. 2. Cables were loose (railing) and it took three visits to tighten them, which was completed 5 weeks after they finished constructing the deck. 3. The wood for the pergola selection wasn't the best. In their defense they had to shop multiple places to get all the wood to build my (appx 17'x 16') deck. Likely caused by the pandemic. 4. The posts were not cut level. Even after having them come back to level them off they were still not level and a few of the post caps/lights are crooked.
