FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I round to the nearest dollar for any parts needed to complete the task. The material cost is to be paid along with labor, upon completion of the task. For small ticket items like screws glue or caulk etc. I typically don’t charge. I have a one hour minimum. I’m flexible. If you think my price is unfair we can negotiate a compromise before I do the work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start by asking a few questions so I can better understand the task and what I will need to complete it. Pictures are helpful, so are phone calls, but I can work around it. Once I understand the task we can schedule a time that works for both of us and talk payment. In some cases: I will set up a consultation, and schedule a day in advance, so I can bring the proper tools, and supplies I will need to complete the task.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I used to be a Maintenance Supervisor for a 565 bed student housing community. I have seen a thing or two, and can fix most things. I also made a few connections; so if I can’t do a job, I know someone who can.
