Toby, of Admirable Custom Decks is an honest, smart working contractor with a great crew. I hired Toby to replace my entire deck surface and replace a few rotted support beams. The work was done well, and at a fair cost. The deck looks great!! I highly recommend engaging Toby and his crew for your deck work. Ted S
Hire them! I have had more bad experiences than I would like to admit with contractors not finishing what they start, or even starting at all. This has been the BEST experience I have had-ever! No complaints so far, still have a growing list I want them to complete but I have no doubt the list will get done. They work quick and work around my schedule. Communication, which is super important to me, has been wonderful along with the quality of work. I could go on and on, just hire them if you want a stress free experience. You will not regret it. So glad I found them. I swear I am not related to them, just a very happy customer.
Brian was great! He arrived early and went out of his way to help repair a bad installation the previous owner had done on our siding instead of just hanging it back. We will definitely call Brian again. Highly recommend!
I was impressed with Dominic's knowledge of the work needed to complete the project in my kitchen. Cody arrived with all of his tools, ready to work, and accomplished in 3 days what had taken another contractor more than a year to finish. This team values a satisfied customer!
The Board of Directors of the Stone Bridge Villas Condominium Association in OâFallon, IL, contracted with the Barrale Brothers to paint the exterior siding, trim, doors & shutters, and garage doors on 16 residential units and the Association Clubhouse, a total of 7 buildings. Painting started on May 1, 2015, was finished on July 3, 2015, and was frequently interrupted by rain during the wettest period (May-June 2015) in OâFallon history. The most impressive part of this job was the skill with which the Barrale Brothers applied a single, thick coat of paint to our units with no drips, no runs, no sags, and no slop-overs on adjacent items. The Barrale Brothers even removed (and replaced) shutters and downspouts to ensure a complete and uniform coat of paint on our units. Throughout the entire process, the Barrale Brothers were prompt, punctual, courteous, and enthusiastic. They made sure that our residents were not inconvenienced when front and garage doors were painted. Several of our residents specifically commented about the terrific job that our painting contractors were doing. The Board of Directors fully concurs with that assessment and eagerly anticipates their return next summer when we will paint another six buildings.
We have hired Chad at C&L for several years now. He has done a lot of interior painting for us and has power washed the exterior of our home and walkways (you'd be surprised by how easily mold builds up on the outside of your home!). Chad works fast, but also does an exquisite job. We are particular when it comes to paint - from the application process to picking out the right color and sheen - Chad is extremely knowledgeable and has a lot of experience. I don't recommend going with another company because they are cheaper... you get what you pay for. I've referred Chad and his company several times ending with happy customers and I will continue to do so!
Joe did a great job framing in a doorway, installing siding, and hanging drywall at my house. He was very professional.
Had them try and repair plaster, on walls with swirls, that a different contractor had messed up. Didn't repair with plaster, but I believe made the best with what they had to work with.
Rob and CC Contractors recently performed window restoration and window thermal treatment at my house in Wilwood. The work was impeccable and completed in a timely and professional manner. Rob offers great value solutions to all home improvement needs. I highly recommend CC Contractors for any of your home improvement needs, and will definitely be working with Rob and his crew again on any of my future projects. Thanks, Matt
I needed assistance with a small master bathroom project, and through research came upon a website called thumbtack. I answered a few questions and the website returned with a recommendation, Eric Williams from Advanced Interior Construction, LLC. Within just a few hours, Eric Williams responded and offered to come as soon as the next day to provide a quote. I accepted and he showed up the next day on time. First impressions are everything and Eric’s was great. He professionally assessed the issues, offered suggestions, and provided a comprehensive quote the next day. Over the last 10 years, I have engaged many contractors to do work for me and many, if not most of them, either did not provide a timely quote or some didn’t even follow up at all. Eric was different. Not only did he provide a prompt response, but it was detailed and included different options/solutions. Let me state that I could not have made a better choice in choosing Eric as my contractor. He’s got an eye for aesthetics, detail and is very knowledgeable in his trade. He was organized, cleaned up daily, and was considerate of limiting the amount of disruption to my life. His work was top notch, my wife (very picky) even agreed, and I plan to use him again and again. I strongly recommend Eric to others and I can’t wait to tell all of my friends and family about a what jewel of handyman I found on thumbtack.
Brad Young and his contractors are very reliable and arrived early in the morning every day at about 8am. Their workmanship was quality and perfect. Hopefully the rain stops for a few days so the can pour the concrete pads for the deck and dog kennel. The wall oven project is almost complete and the cupboards have to be installed and the sheet rock painted,
Josh and Sim did a great job. They gave me a fair price and started work right away on my deck and had it finished in 4 days. They care about their customers and their quality of work and it's obvious. They're also good at what they do! Josh didn't mess around with a high bid and he gave his best bid up front, unlike what I see from a lot of contractors. I would definitely hire him again and appreciate the work he did after hiring a terrible painter that I found through Thumbtack.
Kevin replaced our old basement windows and door with new ones. The basement door was a custom size. Two previous handymen we had estimates from were unable to figure out the door for us. Kevin completed the job in the time frame he quoted and had no problem customizing our new door. He kept a neat work space, was polite and respectful, and the windows and door look perfect. We would recommend him to a friend and will call him for our next remodel job.
We had Adams' Doors and Contracting repair our garage door. They were prompt, friendly and fixed our door at a reasonable price. I would definitely use them in the future and recommend them to others.
I hired another contractor to do the job. The work he did was not well done. I Contacted B&C Contracting to see if he could correct the job. I am absolutely satisfied with the way it was completed and very satisfied with B&C for doing the job with such short notice.
All around great experience while installing our heavy new frameless shower doors. John and his biz partner are new to Thumbtack but were prompt, detailed, and we love the new doors! We would definitely hire them again for other projects in our home.
KDB Home Improvements did a fantastic job with the framing project for a 115 year old 4-family unit. KDB is a problem solver. He ran into several challenges dealing with an old property such as rotted floor boards & joists, uneven walls and uneven floors. For every challenge that popped up, KDB used it as an opportunity to showcase superior carpentry skills. The crew always showed up on time, with their gear and were all very professional. They were fairly quiet on the job site. They just show up and work. I never had to wonder if they were going to be on time. They had full access to the property and I trusted them completely. There are several more projects that I have scheduled and KDB will get the first opportunity to bid on them. I would use them again without hesitation and would highly recommend them for any home improvement projects whether you are planning a complete gut rehab like my project or a kitchen or bath renovation.
Mr Bridger is a true blue collar worker. As with any roofing job the weather will always put wrinkles in scheduling things, but everything ended done well. He handled our claims agent from beginning to end. Our roof, gutters, downspouts, and chimney cap were all replaced. And after our roof was completed our neighbors also used him.
They have completed several painting and roofing projects for us over the years. They are always professional and offer fair prices.
Despite our efforts to find a new home that was, "move in ready" the competitive home market and limited number of properties, lead us to consider buying a fixer upper and then hiring a contractor to make it "move in ready." I am an extremely anxious person and buying a new home is a very stressful situation on its own. Finding a contractor on top of everything else, was something that we had a lot of concerns about. From the start, Trinity Contracting (Tad), was very accommodating and provided us with a free estimate. During our first meeting it was apparent that he understood what we were trying to do and already had made some great recommendations. Once we decided to work with Trinity, things moved quickly and demo seemed to fly by. The scope of work was pretty large with 2 full bathroom demos, 1 main wall demo, 2 half wall demos, and complete demo of all the flooring except the bedrooms. Tad provided an aggressive timeline of 6-8 weeks for project completion and many others told me to expect double the time a contractor states. Not the case with Tad, work was almost completely done by week 8 with the exception of some minor finishing touches and we were able to move into the home on schedule. Tad was very involved during the process and took us shopping to pick out tile, wood flooring, bathroom fixture, etc. He was able to help us tremendously with pricing and also did a great job of mediating between my wife and I when we were split on a decision. Tad was also helpful about keeping our budget in mind and made sure that we did not go over on anything unless we wanted to. If there was a decision to be made which would cost more, Tad was there to discuss what things could wait and which would make more sense to do now. Tad and his wife, Shell, were very flexible at every step in the process and went out of their way to make things as easy as possible when we needed to meet. The project come out beautifully and Tad really stepped up in the end to make sure we had everything that was agreed upon despite a error made by a supplier. This really made me confident in Trinity, Tad, and his wife Shell as business and I look forward to working with them if we are lucky enough to finish our kitchen and/or basement in the future. I have already referred a couple of others to Trinity who were looking for contractors and would continue to do so if asked for a reference.
I am thrilled that he was able to repair my problem.
