They installed a 6000+ sq. ft. concrete jogging/biking track around the perimeter of our back yard - about a 1/4 mile around and 5' wide. They took out the grass and about 8" of dirt, laid down a gravel substrate, staked and formed the edges with 2"x4"s and used flexible pieces to create round sweeping corners, then poured 5" of concrete. They gave it all only a slightly rough finish, so the boys won't get too scraped up when they "crash and burn." A couple days of rain and mud delayed finishing, but right after the ground dried out enough to support a concrete truck, they came out again and finished off the remaining section. A day later - on a SATURDAY - they saw-cut expansion joints and removed the wood forms and the steel takes just so the boys wouldn't get hurt if they ran off to the sides. Parrish's price was fair, his crew was terrific, and other than a few delays because of the torrential rains we have had, it was done on time. All they have left to do is a little dirt fill-in around the edges in some spots, but he's waiting until it's not a swamp to finish that. I would gladly hire them again. Oh, yeah, and when they saw that I regularly drove my truck in the back yard (and construction equipment occasionally) they made a 15' section of the"sidewalk" in front of the gate twice as thick and with rebar, so a full-size backhoe or cement truck can drive across it without cracking. I didn't even have to ask them. I'll add some pics when it's finished up.
