We put on a production and it for the client-we want their guests to remember their event! We will meet with the client as many times as we need to . I gave this rating for so many reasons! He was rude to the Bride and his wife was rude to me, the Grooms Mother. I was told at any time that I could ask them to stay as long as someone paid him $50 cash. We tried, and the two, dj & wife talked and finally said yes. There were some problems the timing of music to part of reception, so I told the dj I would take charge, not meaning towards them, but so the problems would stop. I understand there was alot of speeches, but I figured he was in charge, and would have stopped it by starting the music. I was not paying for speeches! His wife, very rudely in front of MY Family members said "We are not staying". I was floored! First it's yes, then no! They both were on their cell phones alot also! Then, the kicker-claiming we never sent the music selections! He started to play the songs on the list just before he stopped for the night. He gave us problems the entire way. His wife, who we didn't hire, was extremely rude, in front of MY Family members, and told me they were NOT staying, and all of a sudden, they were playing songs we requested! Did not make any sense at all. They totally messed up the Father-Daughter dance by playing the wrong song. The "I didn't get the music" claim form them is so wrong! They played the songs after the Bride had an argument with him! As for the payment, I informed him I had mailed it. I am sorry I have to rate the service like this, but for many reasons, I was not happy at all. We have another wedding coming up in the future, and I would not hire this DJ again.

Dear Carol. I'm so sorry you feel that way about our services. However, when our clients show up over 1 hour late to their own event, that simply put all plans for the event off track. We did the very best we could to please all of your unplanned speeches from from all of your family members, brothers and sisters, which many of them were rather long. We also played longer than our agreed time and did not charge you anything more. One of your family members actually came to thank us and told us that every one was leaving anyways, so it was a perfect time to end the event. Again, we did not charge you anything for the extra time that we stayed. Even the groom and the father of the bride told us we did a great job. We were never rude to anyone including the gentleman that was very disrespectful in regards of the cake cutting time. The photographers requested that we move forward due to losing natural light for the pictures. It was their request, not ours. With this types of events, timing is everything. We also were in close contact with the photographers to coordinate the flow of the event. We were able to deal with your family members to the best of our abilities. Some of them were not the nicest people. This is the first time ever in my 20 plus year career as a professional event DJ that I have a client that is not 100% satisfied. You also need to remember that neither you nor the bride or groom was ever able to personally meet with us. Everything was done over e-mails and phone. And also, it took several times reminding you to send your final payment, which was past due form the specified time on invoice. You always told us that they were too busy to arrange a meeting with us. We will learn from this experience as we move in to the future and become a better service provider for years to come. Make sure you hire a DJ that will meet with you and is detailed oriented.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
That we are just a DJ service, we offer so much more. We like to get to know our clients that helps to know their likes and dislikes. It is as important to us as it is to you for your event to be successful!
