FAQs
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I generally shoot weddings. This means consulting with the client about the wedding day, setting up engagement photos, and sometimes even designing wedding invitations. I like to be very involved with the wedding process because I want to be sure I capture your personality on your wedding day. I don't consider myself a "show up and shoot" photographer. By the end of the day, I feel more like a part of your family.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Do you like the work? That's the first step. But photography is more than just amazing images. Do you think you can trust this person to get the images you want on your special day? Another thing to think about is that you will be stressed on your wedding day, and photographers can add to or alleviate that stress. Look for a photographer that is going to be quick and personable. You don't want to be standing around all day missing your wedding because your photographer is taking forever to take your picture. You want fast- but EFFICIENT.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
You get what you pay for! Wedding photography DOES get costly, but it's not without reason. I have thousands of dollars worth of equipment, and I have spent enormous amounts educating myself to be ready for anything. I spend hundreds of dollars a year on batteries alone. It is expensive for a reason.
