Mike scheduled a time to come “look at the job”. He showed up an hour late smelling like pot. Desperate to get the job done and relying on the earlier good reviews I was willing to work with him. When he arrived he planned on doing the job right then which I wasn’t expecting, but changed my plans that day to accommodate him. He worked for one hour and then left to get materials (Home Depot is <1 mile) and never returned. After I texted him and left voice messages that he didn’t answer he shows up at my door three hours later. By this time, I had put his tools safely outside and texted him a picture with a message that we were done and that I would send him his hourly rate for the one hour where he worked. He left, but wrote me later, threatening to put a lien on my house. Not sure what he thought he’d put a lien on for. I was left with a mess.
