About
Hello! I am offering a niche and very accelerated in person 1 on 1 teaching/tutoring service for early college level students of any age. We will be going in depth with math, (any level is fine) music, (guitar, mostly) and science (physics). Preferably, you are actively enrolled, or signed up to be actively enrolled in at least one high school or college course as either a student or teacher. I am an Applications Engineer with (almost) BSEE from ASU (grad. 7/26) and 10+ years guitar teaching experience. The price is $100/hr, once every 2 weeks, for 1 hour. Progress must be made between lessons. All I can do is show you what to work on, you have to get better on your own! Generally I am not interested in teaching either absolute beginners or very advanced music students, although I will make exceptions if you are very interested. I am looking for people with a solid foundation who want to bring their playing to the next level. I also probably do not have the skills or knowledge to teach you if you are already an expert or professional level player! The same ideas apply to academics, really. You should have a solid background in high school level math and science, but if you're already an expert I probably don't have much for you. Ideally you are highly motivated and interested in learning about both areas! We will do plenty of learning, and spend the most time on the things that you are most interested in. My strongest areas of academic knowledge and interest overall are probably: electronic circuit design/layout computer/hardware programming with and without AI guitar/music physics/science math (only diff eq/linalg/calc3 no grad courses unfortunately) machine learning I am looking for like 2-4 students who fit specific criteria that I think could really benefit from my academic/professional/teaching experience. I will be available for 1 hr, every 2 weeks, per student starting 5/1/26. Prefer Friday afternoon but could potentially do weekday evenings if necessary. The general idea is that we will spend about half of the time on academics, and half on music, focusing more on the things you like or are more interested in, and taking tangents to explore other things as well. It's a one hour learning session that is guided by you, to help you meet your goals, within the framework of what I know and can teach or research. There must be clear progression, and demonstration of learned knowledge and skill, but what that looks like is largely up to you. Thanks! Kenny

I’ve only had 2 guitar lessons and expect more classes, he is giving me intermediate lessons, I am glad I“found” Kenny, he is exactly what I was looking for and he makes me feel at ease, and he knows what he is doing. He’s a good dude. You won’t go wrong 👍.

Kenny is a very talented guitar player! By the end of our first session we were jamming together, even though I was very nervous about being able to. He's a lot of fun and brings great ideas and suggestions. Definitely recommended.

Kenny is awesome and tuned his teaching to my level and interest. IE I'm not sitting here strumming something I could care less about just to learn the chords. He listened to my interest found something at a beginner level and set me off on a great first step

Details: 26 - 44 years old • No formal training • No, cannot read music • Acoustic • Country • Yes, the student has an instrument • 45 minutes • At the pro’s location • My home, venue, etc.

If you’re anything like me, Kenny will feel like a buddy right off the bat. It can get a bit overwhelming and at times discouraging to learn music theory, but Kenny’s genuine enthusiasm and love for music keeps things exciting. He’s obviously talented, but what separates Kenny from other teachers is how badly he wants people to understand the way music works. If you just want to play a few songs, riffs, or solos YouTube will do, but Kenny lead you—in a way that’s unique to your taste—towards whatever goals you are willing to work for.

Details: 18 - 25 years old • No formal training; some self-taught experience • Yes, can read guitar tabs • Electric • Jazz • Rock • What the teacher recommends • Yes, the student has an instrument • 60 minutes • At the pro’s location

Kenny is very friendly and explains concepts in ways that are easy for beginners to understand. Would recommend to anyone looking to pick up guitar or just build on what they already know.
