- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
General maintenance and installation is billed at $45 per hour. Costs for disposal, chemical supplies and fertilizers, permitting, and other charges are additional. Specialized projects range from the types of materials and equipment charges for tools and machinery, higher rates for more specialized labor, up to $75 per hour or more depending on the nature of the task.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
On-site consultation is the first step, or sending photos of the site. Design and procurement of plant materials then follows, installation or maintenance can then take place.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have horticulture training from Johnson County Community College, and am a certified TreeKeeper with the Heartland Tree Alliance, an arm of Bridging the Gap, an environmental non-profit here in Kansas City.
