FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is per job. It depends on how much is in the property, left overs from the tenant, if there are minor repairs that I can do. Major repairs and the use of dumpsters are extra. How big the yard is if the landlord/owner wants that presentable.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I wanted to start my own business and also wanted a flexible work schedule. I had my real estate license for 10 years before moving out of state. My family has been in construction for over 30 years and I also worked in the restaurant business off and on for 40 years and cleaning is a major chore in the food industry. It just seemed like a natural way to go.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
When renters leave they don't take everything with them. They usually leave things that are too big to move or they don't want anymore. I remove the things that are left behind and dispose of them, whether to a junkyard or thrift shop. Then I clean. Starting from the top and working my way down. If there is any painting or repairs that need done, I contact the different trades to ensure that the repairs are done by a professional. Some owners want the outside cleaned up also and I have a lawn service that is on call if I need them.
