I had the pleasure of working with Karla and the Crescendo Trio for my recent wedding. Karla was great and very patient with me. I had no time to choose which pieces I wanted for my Catholic wedding, so I told her that I trusted her judgment and to choose for me. What could have been very stressful turned out to be something that I didnt even have to think about. I am a classically trained musician myself and I would recommend them any day as they sounded beautiful and made my ceremony the ceremony of my dreams!
Deondre was the DJ for my wedding on 09/03/16. I was extremely unsure of basically ANYTHING regarding music and sound support for the day of. The second we met him, my wife and I both knew we'd be well taken care of. He's so knowledgeable and creative. He was easy to talk to and honestly fun to talk to as well! I also don't think he said no to a single request, he made our day perfect!
Our officiant had sound support, my aunt played her viola during our ceremony and we also had a couple songs done by a live musician at the reception. These were huge concerns/hopes for that day and I felt clueless about how to make sure it all happened the way I wanted. Deondre handled everything!!!! I'd ask him if something was possible and boom, he found a way for it to be possible.
Our reception...I don't even know how to put into words how remarkable that night was. The whole atmosphere was one of the most beautiful things and I really feel like Deondre played a huge part of it. He is great about reading the vibe of the room and knowing what will best accompany the moment. He seriously kept us dancing ALL night!
iSecret Records IS the way to go. I don't think it's possible to be disappointed with choosing them. I'll seriously cherish that entire day/night for the rest of my life and I'm so thrilled Deondre was part of it.
I've hired the Ego Satellites for a few community festival gigs and they've performed wonderfully each time! Their acoustics are great and the set list has something for everyone. I highly recommend this group of professional musicians.
Michael English is one of Kansas Citys best musicians and finest music instructors. Period.
His approach with students is both patient and kind. He is extremely knowledgeable on just about every facet of the music and instrument. He has an extensive professional resume of both formal education and musical associations. His time spent playing on the road and in the studios provides the necessary know-how for me to properly prepare and understand the music, the instrument and be ready for any settings I may be asked to perform.
In addition to being a virtuous listener he is extremely articulate and has the innate ability to breakdown and explain complex musical ideas and systems. He also possesses a practical and useful understanding of the music business and musical equipment a necessity for any musician today.
Each lesson I come away with a new appreciation of the instrument I so desperately want to learn and the instrument, Michael, so passionately commands when he plays.
My daughter decided she wanted to play saxophone at the age of 15. She began learning from John around the start of the spring semester of her freshman year. By that fall, she was good enough to make the high school marching band! We've continued taking lessons from John, and she has continued to progress throughout the year. She is now capable of playing alongside other saxophonists who have been playing since Junior High. John's a professional, and his love of saxophone rubs off on my daughter. I still can't believe she's gotten to the level she's at after such a short time.
Jonathan was the DJ at my wedding. We had about 250 guests, most of whom were under 30-years old. Jonathan had just about everybody dancing nonstop! At one point our photos show at least 80-100 people breaking it down on the dance floor.
Jonathan is very professional. He brought all his own equipment, which was more than enough sound-power to rock the 5000 square-foot event space.
Jonathan was also very flexible and tasteful in the music he provided. There were classical 1960s love songs, all the way through everyone's favorite current singles, including remixes and Jonathan's own DJ twist. My wife(!) and I are both music lovers and musicians and we were thrilled with every aspect of Jonathan's service.
I very highly recommend!
Great people, great musicians and a great band
We have had Hard@Play for two of our festivals. They have a fantastic song list to choose from.
If you like a tight rock band with a great Brass section. Do you self a favor and book these guys
Jon is a VERY talented and skilled musician in classical and contemporary music--well able to match my lesson with my skill level. (Moderately advanced.) A natural teacher with performance experience. Personable and dependable.
I provide live jazz for elegant events! I do wedding cocktail hours, receptions, birthday parties, celebrations, and any event you can think of!
Choose from solo guitar, guitar and vocals, guitar trio (guitar, bass, and drums), or a quartet (guitar/bass/drums with either a singer or a saxophone).
Really enjoyed my first lesson with Rob and looking forward to many more. He is a very talented musician and plays a variety of music and styles. He seems very flexible and really works to accommodate lesson dates and times that work best for the student. I understand that Rob studied classical guitar at Rockhurst University for 5 years. He breaks thinks down for you to make it easier to learn step by step. I have been playing guitar for years and Rob was quickly able to make some suggestions to improve my technique. Again, I'm already looking forward to my next lessons.
I was a student of Margaret's from 5th grade through high school graduation. The information I learned from her - both in regards to music and life - are lessons that will stick with me forever! She was (and is) worth every penny spent and then some!! Great teacher, great musician, great person. :)
I am fifty-one and wanted to take a few guitar lessons. I was turn on to Jacob back in February of 2012 and go for thirty minute lessons once a week. I suppose there are hundreds of good teachers in the ares, but I think in Jacob I have found a good mix of what I need to know and what I want to know. In the short time that Jacob has been teaching me, I can now read music, know a little about theory, know enough chords to play hundreds of song! We spend a lot of time playing scales up and down the neck, this is called soloing. Its what you hear in most rock and blues with all the bends, hammer on, hammer off and slides. I take my lessons sometime with my acoustic and then my electric. I will never be able to play classical like Andres Segovia or shred like Slash, but with Jacobs help someday soon I will be able to play a ton of stuff. Each week he gives me more and more tools to help me to fulfill a dream I have had for as long as I can remember. Give Jacob a try and see if he's a good fit with what you want to accomplish. You may want to pay him just to play for you!
I hired Charlie as a solo musician for a set this past month and she was very kind and professional. We had a cancellation at our event and needed someone within the week. Charlie put something together for us in under five days and had an entire three-hour acoustic guitar, ukulele, and slap bass setlist ready. She is a very talented musician and I would recommend her to anyone!
