About
I take complete control of each aspect of the work performed, both self performed and subcontracted. I like to work with the client daily to inform, educate and approve the work as it is being completed. Protecting the clients budget is always a priority. Watching the client as the project takes shape and their ideas become reality. When the client is part of the transformation, they best understand how their investment is justified. Its always a good feeling when a client feels their money was well spent.

Mark was wonderful. He provided outstanding customer service and great quality work at a very reasonable price. We'd definitely use his services again.

Mark tiled our master bath! He took the time to make a detailed diagram to show us what the floor would look like before he started the project, and he's very meticulous about his work. I would fully recommend him!

Mark is clearly well-versed in old home renovation. When we spoke over the phone and on site, Mark indicated an understanding of the challenges and the solutions for my big and small projects. Mark provided a general plan for how and when he would tackle each item on the list. He also committed to the Monday of my move-in. Although this was later than we had first discussed, I understood that Mark was on another job that was running over. That Monday Mark did not show and he went radio-silent for 3 days. When I finally reached him, he spent 30 minutes sharing the challenges of his existing job. After re-committing to my projects, Mark again fell radio-silent. Two days later he sent very long emails through Thumbtack explaining again all the challenges on his current job. Meanwhile, the projects that needed to precede my move-in did not even get started. I finally had to recruit two additional carpenters to work simultaneously, apologizing profusely for using more than one at the same time. The projects are now progressing, though more slowly than hoped. Nonetheless, they will be beautiful when complete. Mark should have told me he could not do my project. That would have allowed me to find another contractor prior to creating a downstream mess (other trades waiting in the wings).
