I thought Supreme Contracting did an awesome job but I was concerned about the amount of wood caulk that was used. It seemed like a little more than what was needed. Afraid it will affect the value of the house when I go to sell it. Other than that his team completed the work the same week. He was professional. And all the wood work looks excellent other than the caulk. But I will paint over that. Would have given 4.5 stars but couldn’t. Thank you Supreme Contracting.Sep 18, 2019Verified
Mark provided a painter with 24 hour notice to fill-in and paint 33 individual doors for my team. He was professional on the phone, easy to work with and his crew that arrived to do the work took care of business. While our process experienced a hiccup with a shortage of material, we couldn't ask for a faster and more responsive individual to work with. Great contact!Feb 1, 2017Verified
Deck Staining and Sealing
I hired this contractor to stain my deck. Overall quality of work was good, but there is a serious disconnect between the owner and the workers. There was a huge disconnect between what the owner and I agreed on and what the workers wanted to do. The workers drug their feet on completing the job and even told me that the newer boards on my deck would not hold stain like the old boards. I think they already tried one coat of stain, but not a second. After they left, I got a brush and tried it myself (see picture). There was nothing wrong with the boards, they just needed another coat. I called the owner and the workers came over and finished staining the new boards a second time. When the workers were cleaning up, they asked for a garbage bag, then left the trash, including old paint cans that should probably go to the county hazardous materials waste site, in my yard. Unfortunately, my first Thumbtack experience was not a good one. I would not recommend this contractor for staining a deck. I'm still cleaning up masking tape that they missed.Nov 23, 2016VerifiedSupreme Contracting's reply
Phillip, At Supreme we strive for perfection and never accept less than a satisfied customer. I wish you would have told me about the trash and the tape. That is an easy fix that we would have been happy to take care of. 2 out of 5 seems a little harsh when you say " overall quality of the work was good..." "shoddy work" in the heading just isn't accurate. Your deck looks great, as your wife told me when I picked up your check. I would never ask or expect to be paid until the job is complete to your satisfaction. I would have expected a 4 and could understand a 3, but I feel a 2 is unfair. We take pride in our work and I apologize my guys left the trash there.
Fence and Gate Repairs
Mark did a great job of communicating with me every step of the way. Phil came out and power washed and stained my fence and deck and did some repairs to both and did a great job! We had some rain in the middle of the project and Mark did an awesome job of keeping me informed as to when they would be back out. They fulfilled every commitment they made to get the job done. I will definitely use Supreme Contracting again for future jobs.Jul 29, 2020Verified
Roof Repair or Maintenance
Did well to determine the problem with my roof ventilation and provide a solid solution to the problem.Apr 7, 2020Verified
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We bid each job and/or service based on the needs of that individual customer.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We schedule an appointment to measure the job and access the needs of the homeowner. Most times we are able to price the job on the initial consultation. We offer options most contractors either can't or wont to give the consumer all the information they need to make the best decision for them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I grew up helping my father and grandfather build decks, fencing, and general home maintenance and repairs. They were both incredible mentors who taught me the value of doing it right the 1st time and never accepting less than perfect work.
