We had a wonderful experience with this great group of movers! We inquired last minute about moving on a super hot August evening, and the Smoovers team was quick to get us booked and the most amazing help to get the job done, despite the 90+ degree heat. They packed everything with an expert touch making it so our whole home fit into one van load, saving us time, stress, and money! The team was kind, cheerful, and willing to meet specific requests on where to load in furniture when asked. We will definitely use them for future moves and highly suggest you do as well!
Details: 11-20 items • Sofa • Loveseat • Bed frame • Mattress • Mirror / painting • 5 - 10 miles • Stairs to load items • Stairs to unload items

Spencer and his team (Jalyn & Russ) were great in getting all my stuff packed and moved efficiently! They handled everything with care and also placed all the boxes/crates in the rooms they needed to go. I would definitely recommend using them and plan to use them for any other moving needs I have!

Smoovers is one of the best businesses I've ever worked with. I hired them to move a client's possessions from Indepedence to KC. They responded immediately to my inquiry and we were able to set a date and time right then. On moving day they arrived on time, soothed my rather anxious client, and quickly got to work. They were professional, punctual, courteous, and efficient. But there's more: when my client's bed was moved in, it was determined that she'd lost the correct bolts/screws/nuts/whatever needed to attach the frame to the headboard. The owner of Smoovers said that he'd find the appropriate hardware and would come back to fix her bed.
He followed through with that promise he didn't even have to make.
This company obviously goes above and beyond what's expected/standard. Going forward, I'll recommend them to clients, friends, and family.
I, personally, hope to never move again. But if I do, Smoovers will be my first call.
Details: 1 bedroom home • 11 - 20 miles • Load flat; no stairs or elevator • Unload via passenger elevator

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is tailored to the type of job depending on how many people are needed to be cost effective, and save you time and money. I try to be as close to the quote as possible or beat the quote which saves you time and money. To being as close to the designated quote as possible the inventory is key to the lowest price as well as distance. Efficiency and preparation in planning are essential as well as packing correctly to keep the pricing down as well as stress off the customer, and movers.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My process is to try to make things simple, easy, and efficient. Going over everything that is goin, and what isn't. Is there any antique furniture, glass tables, and TVs that may need special care? What type of residence? Is it a house, an apartment, one level or two? Is it a storage unit? These types of questions being answered helps movers know how to help you. You can always ask any question I'm always here to help you with your moving needs. Also, there are items we just simply aren't allowed to take by law. We don't want to waste your time, and or energy. We all have busy and stressful lives let's not make moving one of them.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My education was in automotive mechanics and business management. Although I feel moving allows me to deal with all three If my truck breaks down, I'll at least know what the issue is and be able to fix it. All jokes aside, moving has been more a "train as you go and learn as you experience" which I have learned a lot from the moving companies I have worked for. The different types of people I have worked with and their creation of a pack job making sure nothing gets damaged has been invaluable. I love what I do because I know I can make things less stressful for people.
