FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started working in an Old Timey photo studio when I was in high school. I adored being behind the camera and creating a memory for people. While being in the studio was loads of fun for a few years I knew I wanted to bring my photography to the next level. Weddings are really the epitome of once in a lifetime memories and that's precisely the kind of art I wanted to create!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Make sure the photographer you hire is familiar with the venue lighting unique to your event! Being a "natural light photographer" is great, but with many events natural light doesn't cut it! I am very skilled with natural lighting and artificial lighting such as on and off camera flash.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
It's a full time job! Just because I photograph mostly on the weekends it doesn't mean I don't work during the week as well. Meeting with clients, shooting engagements, editing images, drafting contracts, creating timelines... etc.. It's all a lot of work and I'm doing all the time!
