Dylan has been great for us! She is very observant and gives great instruction for the dogs and for us without being judgmental. Each time we meet she helps us adjust for whatever new challenges we are having with the training. Our dogs are a real handful but she continues to give us hope and they are progressing. She is also continuing to improve her knowledge and that shows through in her work with us.

Dylan has done nothing short of changing my life since she started working with me and my dog Oliver in the past few months.
She is the most observant, effective, trustworthy and compassionate behavioral trainer I’ve ever met. And because of a challenging puppy, I have had to try or interview more than I cared for.
Dylan gives clear, thoughtful instructions for me to follow so I can learn to provide the right guidance and energy for Oliver.
She has built so much trust with Oliver that he can let go of his fear and learn how to bond with her and other humans. It’s work in progress but we have already seen him change a great deal in how he reacts to other people.
What moves me the most is how much Dylan truly cares, about dogs and their humans. In the first few sessions Oliver would charge, bark and try to nip at her, but she never seemed put off or called him aggressive. And four weeks later she became his favorite human.
The kindness, support and encouragement I’ve been given by Dylan is therapy-like. It was very stressful to have a dog I love but whose problematic behaviors I didn’t know how to manage. Before I found Dylan, I got useless advice such as “give your dog some CBD chews to calm him down”. I was told many times “we don’t work with dogs that have challenging behaviors at our facility”. I received pushy sales pitches on 2000-5000 price tags for board-and-train programs. Many of the other “behavioral trainers” I interviewed either showed they had limited skills in training a fearful dog and/or made me feel judged with irrelevant lecturing. All this left me feeling isolated and unsure if I could trust anyone or find real help anywhere.
Enter Dylan, who from day one showed she truly wanted to help us, priced her services very reasonably, and always checked in on how I felt about our training. I trust Dylan to tell me what’s the best for Oliver’s development and my growth as his human.
TLDR - hire Dylan if you’re looking for a dogtrainer / walker. She’s the absolute best.

Wowza. Kiefer Kennel Club has truly proven and outdone themselves with dog psychology and behavior. Dylan came into our home to analyze and begin training not only our very stubborn bulldog, but also us humans as well. And she had complete control and dominance over our bulldog, Gunther, within the first 10 minutes of meeting him. We haven't been able to do that in the 3 years we have had him!! Dylan accomplished this dominance in a very calm and assertive manner and taught us how to do the same. She provided "homework" for us to continue working with Gunther in between scheduled training visits that wasn't overwhelming. Dylan was so thorough with her training and she provided explanations with everything she was implementing. We were VERY impressed and can't wait to see the end results!! Thank you Kiefer Kennel Club for giving us some hope with our beloved bulldog!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Every dog is unique, as is every owner. What works for one pup and their parents may not work for another, so my services are tailored to suit each client's individual needs. New clients receive a 30-minute phone consultation free of charge to get to know me and my methods, talk about their dog's issues, and ask any initial questions before setting up our first session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over a decade of experience studying dog psychology and behavior, and 5 years working alongside professional dog trainers and behavior specialists in St. Louis and San Francisco.
