Meet Caleb – The Craftsman Behind Woodgrain Sunrise Hi, I’m Caleb, a seasoned woodworker with over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial woodworking. My journey began in Columbia, MO, where I honed my skills trimming houses. After a decade, I moved to Chicago, diving into bar and restaurant re-concepts and buildouts, where I developed a keen eye for creativity and functionality. From there, I co-founded a woodworking business in Nashville with Baxter Built, specializing in hospitality buildouts that brought unique spaces to life. In 2020, I returned to St. Louis to be closer to home and lay down roots with my two kids. Now, through Woodgrain Sunrise, I bring my expertise to both residential and commercial projects—whether it’s custom cabinetry, built-ins, or detailed trim work. Caleb did an amazing job with our built-in bookshelves and custom-made mantel and fireplace! We came in with a broad idea and Caleb was able to take that high-level vision and turn it into exactly what we had in mind but even better. He’s incredible. High quality, great eye, and great to work with. Not only has he truly elevated our living room, but our entire first level. Now we just have to finish filling these shelves! We can’t wait to use him for other projects.

Caleb is a very skilled tradesperson who constructed and framed my kitchen island, to a breakfast bar. His attention to detail is superb. All I had was an idea and he brought it to life.
