FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My first hour rate includes travel time to-from your location, fuel surcharge (due to almost $5/gallon gas prices!), overhead costs, and the lead/opportunity fees I am charged should you hire me through Thumbtack. My hourly rate drops if more than 1-hour is needed to complete your project. I want to be as fast and efficient as possible on every project, so please provide photos and as much detail as possible when requesting a quote.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to get as much information and detail upfront so I can complete your project as quickly and thoroughly as possible when you hire me. My goal is to provide quality and value at reasonable prices.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My formal education is in Mechanical Engineering. I've been blessed with a strong technical/mechanical aptitude which has allowed me to be self-taught in carpentry, electricity, plumbing, and all other handyman services. Over the last 30+ years I've remodeled my own homes, including opening living spaces, designing and building basement finishing, kitchen and bath renovations, floor installations, door replacements, plumbing, wiring, etc.
