FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My goal is to provide great entertainment at a fair price. I'm not the cheapest, nor the most expensive. I try to provide you a great value for your investment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Discuss your event so I can be optimally prepared to do the best show I can for your situation. I may also be able to make a helpful suggestion or two on how you can get the most out of what I do. 2. I email you a confirmation. Presuming I got all the details right, email me back saying OK. 3. I call you a few days beforehand to touch base. 4. I arrive early so you don't worry, and I have plenty of time to set up. 5. I do the show and everyone laughs & has fun. 6. Your guests come up to you afterward & thank you for giving them such a fun event!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a member of a very exclusive group know as the Secret Six. It is so secretive that--although I have been a member now for 5 years--I still have no idea who the other five are! (Just joking.) I go to a lot of magicians conventions. We stay up until the wee hours sharing tricks with each other. I have been fortunate to be trained by some great mentors. Bud Dietrich gave me my start in trade shows and auto shows. Bud was one of the top trade show performers in the world. Brother John Hamman was one of the best card magicians in the world. He was kind enough to sit down with me several times and teach me his tricks--some of which I still do today. I studied psychology in college (at Tufts), and got a Masters in Business from Washington University. I am currently taking improv classes to improve my ability to play off of different situations, better connect with audience members, etc.
