- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my fees are $100 per hour for private consultation, in client's homes, classes are currently at $120 for a six week session, except for Community Puppy Classes, which are a free 4 week modular series, with an option to donate toward the expenses, because I feel it's SO important for people to attend puppy classes.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required by my certifying bodies to have a specific number of CEU's every year, but I always have far more than the required number. I attend seminars, online webinars, and take classes whenever possible. I am also completing an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology currently, though I've worked as a tech for years. I want to be certified as a Veterinary Technician-Behavior, and need to be a licensed tech first.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have trained animals since I was a child, and when I was working as a veterinary technician, I saw the need for in home care and training for clients, and it blossomed from there!
