Introduction: Any realtor can say what you want to hear. How many hear what you want to say? Every seller, every buyer, and every property is unique and deserves tailored service and a focused plan. My goal is to listen to you, assess your needs, and use my experience and knowledge to achieve your goals. I don't want to be your agent. I want to be your ally and advocate. Over the last 19 years, I have worked almost every aspect of the St Louis real estate market, from helping individuals and families find the right home to assisting investors on single property purchases to working large scale projects that transformed an entire neighborhood. The most important thing that I have learned in this business is that each client has very different needs. My approach with each of my clients is to use my years of experience, market knowledge, and understanding of the real estate laws to listen to their needs and then help them achieve their unique goals. I was born and raised in St. Louis, and I get excited to work with clients that love our city as much as I do. I am happy to provide a list of references or additional qualification details. I absolutely LOVE helping people achieve their goals. Nothing makes me happier than seeing the excitement a buyer has when they find the perfect house or get the price they wanted for the house they are selling.

Johanna Dueren at Circa Properties was my buyer's agent during the adventure of purchasing my first home; I couldn't have asked for a better agent. Her knowledge of Saint Louis neighborhoods was invaluable: she greatly informed my thinking on where I wanted to live. She got to know my preferences well and was great at coming up with listings to visit. We finally found the perfect place and viewed it on the first day it was on the market. Even though we showed up pretty early in the morning, my offer was the third or fourth in line that day (the place was /that/ amazing). One memorable thing about that day is me telling Johanna how high I would go on price and her actually talking me down a bit to make sure that I wouldn't overpay (as opposed to just making the higher offer and pocketing the extra commission). She got me through the ensuing bidding war, with me coming out on top. She was helpful after the purchase with general advice for a first time homebuyer as well. Fast forward a few years to the point where I have to move to a new city for work. After renting my place out for a year, I decided to sell. Once again, I found myself in the capable hands of Johanna Dueren. She made the selling process so easy, especially considering that I was 600 miles away throughout the entire ordeal. Once we had a serious offer, she took care of all the things that I was worried would require me to fly back to Saint Louis like coordinating all of the minor repairs and touch-ups requested by the buyers. I was expecting the process to be harder; I was still waiting for the next thing to do when I noticed a big sum of cash landing in my bank account and a note from Johanna telling me, "That's it!" Whether you're buying or selling, Johanna is a fantastic agent that will work with you to get the job done. I can’t recommend her strongly enough!

I recently sold my condo in St Louis and Johanna Dueren was my agent. She did a phenomenal job! I was a bit nervous about listing my home in late December as it seemed to be a non-traditional time to sell a home, but Johanna gave me some great tips on how to move my place quickly. She also connected me with numerous awesome service professionals to help me finish my task list prior to my first showing. Johanna and her team were always professional, engaged in the process and kind --- a combination that is hard to find in real estate. I felt like my sale was the most important thing on their plate -- and that was appreciated. Ironically, shortly after selling my home, two friends contacted me as they were relocating to St Louis from out of state. Jo is a gem. She sold my townhome is less than a month at a price I was very pleased with. Selling your home and moving out of state is a stressful process. But Jo destressed that as much as is humanly possible. Jo is always available to provide calming knowledgeable answers to stressful situations. Her experience and personal demeanor are so valuable. Jo’s extensive experience in the real-estate business is invaluable whether you are a seller or a buyer. She has great connections. Circa Properties provides excellent supportive services, the photographer did a fantastic job showing casing my property. Having Continental Title Company in the same office building as Jo’s office was super convenient. I can’t say enough good things about Jo and Circa Properties.

We've worked with Johanna to buy 2 houses, now. She was incredibly helpful, calm and patient when we were first time buyers - there's so much we didn't know and she helped it all make sense! When it was time to move to our second home there was no question who we would work with! Again - so patient with us, helping us find the right home for us and connect with all the right people to help sell our home (it was on the market for less that 48 hours!). I was a first time home buyer and Johanna did such a great job looking out for me as a client and gave me great advice about looking for homes as well as the loan process and home selection process. I thought she had great local knowledge of the neighborhoods I was looking at and really listened to what I wanted and delivered! Also, when I was interacting with the Circa Properties office, all of the staff was also very helpful and responsive. Only clients that are selling a house pay realtor commission. Commissions are negotiable! Just give me a call and we can talk about your goals.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet face to face so we can discuss EXACTLY what you want to achieve. After that I'll send time gathering the information that you need to make the right decisions. In general, I consider myself an advisor. I'm here to give you the information you need to make informed decisions but you should be the one driving the bus.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in Architecture, I've been a licensed and practicing agent since 2001. I have owned two of my own brokerages.
