Introduction: Attention counselors, teachers, parents and students: I am the Center Director at Sylvan Learning Center in Springfield, MO. I wish to take this time to introduce myself, and invite you to consider Sylvan for your ACT preparations. Along with our Reading, Math, Study Skills, and Writing programs, we offer a 24-hour program that prepares you for the ACT exam. This program also includes a 4-hour practice test. We offer these courses five to six weeks (depending on time of year) before all ACT tests. Our next set of classes will begin the week of May 9th in preparation for the June 11th exam. Instructors discuss how to manage your time, how to select the best answer, and how to complete each individual section. Our teachers are certified educators, many of whom teach in the public school sector. A two-point increase is guaranteed, and the course consists of 4 to 6 students. Classes are held either Monday and Wednesday evenings or Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Classes will begin at 5pm and will end at either 7 or 8 pm depending on the subject of study that evening. Cost is $795, and teachers spend time privately discussing practice test results. If you are planning to take the exam later in the year, we would love to have the opportunity to assist you with your ACT preparation. Below is a list of when our classes will begin based on scheduled exam dates. Courses fill up quickly; often two to three weeks in advance. To ensure registration, call us today. Note: We also offer a 3:1 ratio, as well as a 1:1 ratio course. These courses allow for more individualized instruction, thus giving the students the opportunity to focus on specific skills.
