I needed help for small living job on short notice for kind of an emotional not so fun situation with a loved one in their final days and he helped for an afordable rate, worked with my schedule, and was compassionate to the situation so wasn't like trying to force me to hurry along when I was taking the final walk through a medical facility I walked through every day for years and won't ever again. For general handyman tasks, my standard rate is $70 per hour. For larger projects, I apply a standard 3-hour minimum. To keep things transparent, I often offer flat rates for quick 1-2 hour jobs. Also, I offer a 10% discount on the final total for customers who find me through Facebook!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I keep the process simple. I ask the customer to send a photo or a link of the item/project. Based on that, I provide a quick and accurate estimate. Once the customer agrees, we schedule a date. For larger projects, I may require an in-person visit first.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My expertise comes from years of hands-on experience in property maintenance, custom DIY woodworking projects, and mechanical repairs. I am also a registered professional assembly contractor for Wayfair Pro Services, which means I follow strict guidelines for safe and proper furniture assembly.
