Shawn was flexible & awesome! Our “brinner” (breakfast for dinner) at my daughter’s wedding was delicious & everyone loved it.

We had a great time working with this group. Shawn and David were very friendly and supportive of me. It was my daughters wedding, the first I’ve had to plan. I discovered Cake - n - Que on Thumbtack when searching for caterers for our wedding rehearsal dinner at Camp Eagle on Hackberry Road near Rocksprings, TX. I was looking for barbeque but wanted something special...not just beans, potato salad and cole slaw. I especially loved the choices of meats and unusual side dishes and desserts and chose Cake - n - Que because of that. Shawn had no problem with the location so we decided on the menu. We added some extra portions for hearty appetites. Shawn and her husband arrived on time although the trip took considerably longer since the road was very rough due to recent heavy rains. We were going to be outside with no electricity so they brought disposable equipment to keep the food hot. She provided all the serving and dining ware, plates, cups and napkins. The only thing we had to do was have the tables and chairs set up and table clothes on the tables. We were at the rehearsal when she arrived and set up and were pleased to find her presentation was clean, neat, appetizing and ready to serve when we returned. The brisket and pulled pork were extra tender and moist. The garlic green beans were tasty and the macaroni and cheese was smooth and creamy. The hot food was served hot and steamy while the tossed green salad was fresh, crisp and cold. The sauces and dressing for the salad were in squeeze bottles on the side. We ordered the double chocolate brownies and gooey caramel bars for dessert and unsweetened tea with sweetener packets and lemonade for drinks. I appreciate Shawn's advice on extra portions. Her projections were right on. The crowd dug in, came back several times for heaping refills and really enjoyed the delicious food! There was a little brisket, pulled pork and a few dinner rolls left over but they totally cleaned the green beans and macaroni and cheese trays! Our guests raved about the dinner! We got SO many compliments! Shawn was patient, pleasant and cheerful and it was a pleasure to work with her! I would highly recommend Cake - n - Que for a totally worry-free and exquisite dining experience at a very reasonable price!

I recently attended a wedding catered by Cake N Que and their food was absolutely delicious. Their BBQ is the best! And their desserts leave you wanting more. I highly recommend them for any event.

Cake N Que was convenient, professional and very cost effective as well as pintail and thorough leaving me only to enjoy my event. Shawn's ability to understand my requirements led her to provide even the small details we sometimes forget when handling multiple issues; with her handling catering I was able to focus on other areas of need for my event. How did you get started doing this type of work?
We started in a Texas kitchen, really just as the focal point for gatherings of family and friends. Food was the common denominator and I've always enjoyed cooking and creating new recipes so, when our family relocated, we went from gatherings of 25-50 and began catering for larger parties. The food was a hit and the rest, as they say, is history.
