What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We believe in straightforward pricing and communicating costs before work begins. Some projects can be estimated from detailed information and photos, while others require an on-site evaluation.
Our standard on-site estimate/diagnostic fee is $79. When applicable, that fee is waived when you hire us to complete the quoted work.
Final pricing depends on the scope of work, accessibility, materials, existing plumbing conditions and any additional issues discovered during the evaluation. We will discuss pricing with you before proceeding with approved work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by learning what problem the customer is experiencing and gathering basic information about the job. Photos are helpful whenever possible.
From there, we determine whether the issue can be reasonably evaluated beforehand or requires an on-site assessment. Once we inspect the problem, we explain what we found, discuss the available options and provide pricing before proceeding with the work.
After approval, we complete the work as professionally and efficiently as possible, test the repair or installation, clean the work area and make sure the customer understands what was completed.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have more than 10 years of hands-on experience in plumbing and construction, including residential service plumbing, repairs, fixture installation, water heaters, water and drain piping, troubleshooting and remodeling work. My background also includes construction-related military experience and formal study in Building Construction Science. I continue to expand my knowledge of plumbing codes, installation standards and industry best practices.
