I hired Clint to fix some things around my house. He fixed a window shutter that had fallen down several times, he fixed a kitchen cabinet door that wouldn’t close all the way, and he fixed a garage light that had stopped coming on when the garage door is opened. I can’t speak highly enough about the quality of his work, and how he went above and beyond to make sure the items were fixed and in better condition than they were before, even in the pouring down rain and cold weather. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Clint’s handyman services again in the future!

Clint built our deck and stairs for us, turning our modest porch and the yard we had no idea what to do with into a beautiful sitting area. What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually, a quick phone call to discuss broad logistics such as scope, calendar availability, and rough cost. If those align, we follow up with an in-person walk thru to look at the project(s) on site with a longer conversation about scope, vision, material choices, aesthetics, and funtionality. I then put together a bid. If the client is on board, then we try to get it on the calendar asap.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm the son of a builder with 10 years of experience in residential home remodel and 3 of those years holding my own license. I can do most everything in construction but have more experience and interest in finish work such as trim, tile, doors, windows, flooring, decks, and siding.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
You can never be too prepared, and there are always more details to consider. Take time to map out the steps of the project as you see it. Sit down with pencil and paper and draw out ideas. Consider material choices and how different ones might affect the finished product differently. The more time you've spent dialing in the work you want to achieve will result in an easier, faster, and more affordable project for you and a builder to make happen.
