FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes. My price structure is simple: free one-hour Initial Consultation (IC). A two-hour Integrated Fitness Assessment (IFA) is the next step; call or email me for pricing. A five-dollar ($5) discount is offered off the cost of each one-hour session if a Client pre-pays in advance. I do not offer session packages, but if a Client wishes to pay ahead for a month's worth of sessions (usually four, amounting to one session per week), I'll accept that. I charge a small one-time set-up fee for brand new Clients; again, call or email for details.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each new Client follows my system of an Initial Consultation (IC) during which I gather as much information as possible. I also explain in detail, with the aid of a flip-chart presentation, how I work and my philosophy. The next step is to go through my Integrated Fitness Assessment (IFA). After the IFA is performed, they register as a Client and have their first session, during which I explain my findings from the IFA and begin to build an individualized program based on those findings. I typically ask for a minimum 3-month commitment which usually is 12 (1 hour) sessions once per week. The time frame may be longer, depending on the level of pain, musculoskeletal imbalances, or other health issues have been present.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I thrive on and value continuing education. I annually attend continuing education lectures on posture, functional anatomy and kinesiology, nutrition, movement classes, and running a successful personal training business. I am a certified Personal Trainer by the American Council on Exercise (ACE); CHEK Holistic Lifestyle Coach (HLC) Level 1; Corrective Exercise Specialist; Functional Movement Screen Specialist Level 2; Certified Cellular Exercise Instructor; My current studies also include correspondence coursework toward a CHEK Practitioner Level 1 under the world-renowned Paul Chek of The CHEK Institute in San Diego; certification under the noted physical therapist Gary Grey of The Grey Institute, and advanced certification with my certifying institution, The American Council on Exercise (ACE).
