Introduction: I know quality, pricing and reliability are the three most important things to look for when hiring most anyone to work around your home. I can promise you I will be there when I tell you and will do the best job I know how. I have been painting 30 years and I know how to be competitive. I am new to the Asheville area and Thumbtack. I moved here to be close to my 2 children . I've worked a good deal recently back on Saint Simons Island in Georgia. I have a few references here on Thumbtack as well. Jan has done work for us on multiple occasions at our St. Simons Island Townhome. He is reliable, gets things completed in a timely manner, and can handle a wide range of tasks. I have been impressed by his ability to respond to requests that require solutions that do not fall within the normal fix-it list. Good man.

Jan has painted many jobs for over 20 yrs We could not say enough about his professionalism from the initial job evaluation , to completing the job and final clean up. I might add he has been most flexible and understanding when ideas and colors etc have changed mid stream. He does an excellent job, is thorough, timely and immaculate. He is also able to repair items which some times eliminates calling in another craftsman. We would highly recommend him without hesitation.

I worked on a couple jobs as the carpenter and Jan of Residential Painting was the painter on site. He seemed to come in and get the work done so quickly, it always surprised me to walk in a room and see how fast it transformed into done.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I normally look over a job and give you a firm price unless things change moving forward.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will come out to your home or business and look over the job and go over and details of the work. Then I will call you back with a price or if the job is small I can give you a job immediately. I don't ask for money in advance unless I am buying the paint and then I might need a small advance to cover materials.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've worked for a couple painting contractors years ago and also my sister who is an interior designer in Atlanta.
