About
Firstly, "service" is the key word here. It is my goal to serve the customer and to have them happy with their investment. I specialize in residential and commercial window film and tinting. My clients usually have issues relating to the sun:
TOO MUCH HEAT,
GLARE,
FADING,
LACK OF PRIVACY,
and sometimes all four!
I help remedy these issues that can really deter the quality of life.
I am not an auto-tinter and that is a key difference!
I have the expertise, tools and ladders for residential and commercial applications, as well as a solid understanding how a house/building works. I know how the sun works in relation to someone's home or business.
I am very professional and have been in thousands of homes and businesses. With that being said, I also like to focus on one project per day. As the owner, I will personally be onsite at every consultation and every installation. In the end I give my personal guarantee that the work will be done expertly!
Meeting people in their homes or work spaces is a very stimulating and inspiring way to spend each day.
When I come to a family's home or a team's office space, they are very happy to see me: I am going to solve a problem for them.
At the end of the day I made a difference in someone's life, and the results are immediate!

Two days after completion, the work quality is excellent. Has done a thorough job of communicating what to expect over the next 30 days and proper cleaning procedures. Showed up on time and duration estimate was accurate. Cannot evaluate value at this time but expect better temperature control and less UV damage.

We recently had the foyer windows in our home tinted, and the difference has been incredible. Josh was professional, quick, and the finished result looks seamless. We immediately noticed the foyer staying cooler, and it has helped protect our floors and furniture from direct sun exposure. If you're considering windowtinting for your home, especially large foyer windows, I highly recommend it.

Josh and his crew just completed a much needed windowtint job for my mother in Mill Spring. After years of barely being able to enjoy her large open living area due to the bright (and at times blinding) day light, we look forward to reclaiming the space and enjoying it finally! Josh was very informative in helping us to decide the best tint for the space, and he nailed it. The arrived when agreed, and were courteous and professional. As a real estate Broker I can now refer my clients to someone I can trust will do the job right! Thank you very much Josh!

Solar Authority was an excellent choice for tinting our den patio doors and transom, front door and transom, and living room windows. Josh was very professional and knowledgeable in installing the film on the glass. We are very pleased with the results. Bill

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge based on square footage. When I measure the glass to be filmed, I come up with a total square footage amount and inform the customer.
I usually don't charge extra for ladders, but will charge extra if a scaffold or lift is required. I would have to rent those, thus extra expense.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I meet with a new customer, be it at their residence or work space, I first get to know who they are and what their concerns are.
With my products (window film/tinting), there is a range of: heat reduction levels, visible light transmission levels (VLT or how dark the tint is), the amount of metals or ceramics in the film...many different factors. As each person is different and has different needs, I need to know what exactly the customer wants from the performance of the film down to the aesthetics (how the film will look once applied).
I have to measure the glass in person and get the scope of the project. Knowing what ladders are needed, an idea how long the project will take and the amount of materials to purchase are all crucial to get the job done right the first time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I spent five years with a company that specializes in residential/commercial window film installation. I was the lead salesman as well as the head of installation by the time I left to pursue my own business.
A lot of on the job training as well as seminars and classes has well equipped me to tackle any type of project from solar control (heat, glare, uv), safety and security, to decorative and privacy.
