FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I have a basic collection each for engagement (2 hours), elopement (2 hours), and wedding (4 hours) photography which includes the photo session, a fine art photo album, an online gallery to proof, share and order images, and a USB of digital images included in the album. From there, I have an a la carte list for couples to build their own personalized photography collections.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to first meet for a free short consultation for each of us to see whether our personalities click. We will also look over samples, pricing and full wedding galleries. We can build photography collections at that time or meet for a second time to do so. Once the collection is created, we will sign a contract detailing the services provided. From there, I have an engagement questionnaire that helps me get to know each couple before their complementary engagement shoot, which helps us all get comfortable with photographing together. Finally, I will provide a wedding photography checklist for couple's to ensure I capture their most important shots. After photographing their day, we will meet for a viewing appointment for the first look at their images and well as choosing the photos for their album and other products.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I began my training in the darkroom, capturing moments on 24 image rolls of 35mm film. This instilled in me the practice of shooting the exact right moment to preserve forever. I also have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography and Mass Communications which trained me to tell others' stories both literarily and visually.
