The good: Susan banged out a weeklong sit at the height of vacation season, after Josephine took the job a month out and then canceled two weeks out and Everyone was booked. The good: She’s sweet, she’s HONEST, and she took care of my dog, 24/8, without fail or complaint, for $30/day. I got to go on vacation by the grace of Susan. My neighbors like her, nothing misplaced, in fact my house was neater than when I left. The bad: personal responsibility and work ethic are weak spots for her. I lent her my car to sweeten the deal (I needed this to work) and the front bumper got torn off in traffic. I refused to get stressed about it on vacation but now the other driver’s insurance is stonewalling and Susan has not offered to make a claim on her insurance (I kinda doubt she has any). So I’ve come home to an asspain: insurance rate hike versus youtube DIY auto repair. When I got back, Hennie had clearly not been out in hours, possibly all day, and Susan wanted me to take her to a convenience store for vape pods. Uh hey, sorry, but my dog needs to take a dump so fuck your drugs. We went to Piney Wood and left her to pack up. Final grade: C.

Susan took care of my son, dogs, cats, and four chickens while I was away for 12 days in October. My son is an adult with a mental illness and can generally take care of himself but he struggles with taking his meds on a consistent basis, I also have a cat that requires daily medication, so Susan came on a daily basis to give meds, coop up the chickens, make sure everybody was fed, brought in the mail, and in general looked after the house. I have already scheduled her for short trips in November and December and I highly recommend her services!
