FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My rate covers not only my time performing, but also setup, breakdown, and bringing an assistant to help with equipment. I also provide small lighting to elevate the atmosphere, engage the crowd on the mic, and invest in downloading and curating music specifically for each event. If needed, I can create a custom mashup for any specific choreography you have in mind.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I work with a new customer, I always start with a quick conversation to understand their vision, whether it’s the vibe they want for their event or the goals they have for private lessons. From there, I’ll put together a customized plan: for events, that means confirming music preferences, timelines, and special requests; for lessons, it means tailoring the sessions to their skill level and learning style. I keep communication clear and open, so clients always feel comfortable and confident leading up to the big day or their next breakthrough in music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My training comes from a mix of professional experience and hands-on practice. I’ve spent over 5 years DJ’ing in clubs, bars, and private events — learning how to read crowds, mix seamlessly, and deliver the right energy for every room. On top of that, I’ve built skills in drumming, songwriting, and music production through working at School of Rock, years of consistent practice, collaboration with other musicians, and self-study using industry-standard tools. I continue to sharpen my craft by performing regularly and staying on top of new techniques, trends, and technology in the music world. This combination of real-world gigs + ongoing learning is what allows me to both perform at a high level and teach others in a clear, beginner-friendly way.
