John is very knowledgeable and a super nice guy. He repaired our plaster walls and ceilings in a 90 year old house we recently purchased. Before I tried Thumbtack we had two contractors who no showed and another who tried to convince us to install drywall in the entire house. He is also coming back tomorrow to cut open our windows that are painted shut and even offered to give me a tutorial on repairing the weight system that opens and closes the windows. I highly recommend.

John is awesome! He is detailed and has great ideas to help you accomplish your project with a "can-do" attitude. We wanted to replace our front door with a new slab to protect the detailed framing's character and original transom window. After numerous big door chains said they couldn't do a slab install and wanted thousands more to destroy the transom, I got connected with John through Thumbtack. He arranged the purchase of a beautiful door slab, installed it, and it looks awesome! He touched up the original frame, drilled the new door, prepared the hinges, bore the holes for hardware, installed the hardware, and hung the slab FLAWLESSLY. He allowed us to accomplish the look we wanted for thousands less. You won't regret working with John. He is an all around good guy.

John was very professional, punctual, fairly priced and had great work quality. John cut and lowered my breakfast bar so that when my new countertops are installed I was have a much larger island ! Cant wait for the countertops to arrive. I would hire John again in a heartbeat.

John did an absolutely amazing job of creating a new exterior door for our garage (cutting opening, adding frame and trim and installing door) and sanding/finishing our walls at a really great price. He was knowledgeable, friendly, punctual, cares a great deal about his work and did everything he said he would and more. I cannot recommend him enough.
